Dungeons & Dragons & Pizza Info Session
Tuesday, September 17 at 5pm
Come and join us for the Dungeons and Dragons informational session. An experienced "Game Master" will be on hand to answer any of your questions about this fantasy, role-playing game. Hopefully, after this informational meeting there will be interest in a regular adventuring group.

All materials and supplies will be provided and pizza dinner will be provided by the library! All our young adventurers need is an open mind and wide imagination!

Comic Character Creation with Matt Holm

Matthew Holm is an author and illustrator and he's made more than 50 books for children, including graphic novel series like BABYMOUSE, Squish and Sunnyside Up, and he lives right here in Esopus! Join us for this cartoon character workshop for kids, as Matthew demonstrates ways to use visual cues and clues to convey to readers who your character is and how to put multiple characters together to generate stories.

Tween/Teen Author visit with
Dan Poblocki
Monday, September 30 at 5pm
Join local teen & tween author Dan Poblocki as he discusses how growing up in a "haunted" house has inspired him to write scary stories. He shares personal tales and "ghostly" photos from his own collection. Dan describes his writing process - from the spark of starting a story, to the craft of developing ideas and outlines, and finally, the importance of revising your work.

This presentation is appropriate for kids ages 10+.
