Repair Cafe

There are Repair Cafés popping up all over the world, and now in Port Ewen!

Do you have something that is in need of repair?  Don't toss it!  Bring it to our Repair Café where volunteers will help you fix your broken items for FREE!

They are free meeting places and they’re all about repairing things (together). In the place where a Repair Café is located, you’ll find tools and materials to help you make any repairs you need.

Repair Cafes are run by volunteers. Visitors bring their broken items from home. Together with the volunteers, they start making their repairs in the Repair Café. It’s an ongoing learning process. Or you can lend a hand with someone else’s repair job.

Examples of items that could be fixed are:

photographs (to be scanned and edited)

wood repairs

sewing and mending

small home appliances (toasters, etc.)

electronic reconfiguration (computer issues, broken headphones...etc.)

Coffee and snacks will be available for purchase.

The next Repair Cafe will be Saturday, March 7th, 11am-3pm
